So technically it's not spring yet but I am so excited that it's finally warming up and the days are getting longer! Winters in Manitoba can be super brutal and full of extreme wind chills and excess snow storms. To be honest, I have been in a bit of a funk lately and I am beyond ready to break out of it. Enter beautiful, blissful, warm spring!

I thought I'd share 10 reasons I am so crazy excited for Spring:
1. SUNSHINE & Warm Temperatures
So this is pretty self explanatory but I crave sunshine and I need warmth & sunshine especially for my mental health.
2. Walks Around the Crescent
In our little community, we have a beautiful "island" of water that everyone calls the crescent. During last spring, summer, & fall, Brandon and I enjoyed many long walks here taking in the beautiful views and talking about life. I also hope to go for more jogs around the crescent this summer and I cannot wait! :)
3. Our wedding is right around the corner!!!!
This is exciting and also super terrifying. We still have so much to do but I honestly get butterflies just thinking about this day. I have waited what feels like forever to marry my best friend and I can't wait to celebrate with all of our amazing family & friends! So exciting!
4. OUR HONEYMOON!
Obviously this is a ways away but we all know summers fly by which means that before we know it our wedding will be over and we'll be boarding a plane to Florida for a week. To say I'm excited, would be an understatement.
5. Grilling on our back patio
We already fired up our BBQ last week for a delicious steak supper but I can't wait to do it more often once it warms up even more and the snow melts! I love coming home from work to have a drink on the patio while supper cooks :)
6. No more bundling up or SNOW!
Hallelujah!! I could not be more excited to put away our winter coats, hats, mitts, and boots. Bring on shorts & flip flops!
7. Planting our garden
So we have a jam packed schedule this summer between our wedding in July, my sisters wedding in August, and Brandon's sisters wedding in September. Plus all of the socials, showers, bachelorettes, etc. However, we are still planning on planting a garden this summer. Both Brandon and I love to garden and we just simply aren't willing to give it up. We plan on planting more low maintenance vegetables since it may get neglected quite a bit!
8. Enjoying evenings more!
In the winter, it gets dark here by about 4:30 or 5 p.m. which means that I have no desire to leave my house in the evenings. The days have already gotten longer and I can't wait until it's light out until 9 or 10 p.m. I will spend much more time outside and it will make me a MUCH happier person :)
9. More energy and inspiration
Like I mentioned, I have been in a funk lately. I am hoping that spring will help me gain back some energy, up my gym routine, and start scratching more goals off of my to-do list. I'm hoping anyways!
Enough said. I need sunshine in my life.
What are you most excited about this spring?
Hope you're all having a wonderful week!
I will be back tomorrow with a Whole30: Week 3 review :)
